Do you remember last time I was in France, I drove my mum’s car into a wall…Well on Wednesday, my mum took her car to the Renault concession to get it inspected by the insurers… Wednesday: 8.30amConversation between Mila and my Dad… Mila: “Papie..I’m going to tell you a very funny story….I watched Harry Potter last night and I’m VE-RY tired…You woke me up VE-RY early this morning!….I didn’t have breakfast….!And NOW we have to go to Le Garage….”She has a dry sense of humour which makes me laugh :-) Anyway…while I’m away, Sophie will be working on our fantastically beautiful catalogue and we are after a few very nice images of Paris and London so if you would like your photos to be featured, please email Sophie(at)bodieandfou(dot)com. Unfortunately we will not be able to pay for the photos but we will be happy to credit you. I love this…

This is my new toy…the plattan headphones by Scandinavian Headphones Heroes: Urbanears. I took the black plattan headphones and white one to France a few weeks ago for the photoshoot of our new catalogue and went running with them 3 times…What can I say…I love them! The little headphones I had with my i-Phone kept falling off my ears and were driving me crazy but these…they just stay nicely on my head during 8K and being able to run with loud music and no disruption has made my runs a lot more enjoyable! Now may I shyly say that the photos below were taken by my brother and styled by me….

Gold beauty

I needed cheering up this morning and I also needed a dress for several meetings Sophie & will be having with Living Etc, Homes & Gardens, Ideal Home etc tomorrow…and I found this gorgeous dress from Zara!Do you think I can rock the gold look for day meetings?I’m thinking flat ballerinas or these pair of cream heels I got from Initial Fashion in Hong Kong to bring a summer vibe and a little Clare Vivier oversize clutch bag to carry the Ipad… Update:So in the end, I wore the dress for our meetings with the shoes above and gosh didn’t I love it! I’m taking this little gold number to France next week… http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

DIY project: Coffee table

You know that I’m partial to one or two DIY projects, especially when they look stylish and can be done in one afternoon so this morning I wanted to show this fantastic coffee table Weekdaycarnival did using Ikea’s vika lerberg stands and a wooden board.I also love how she displayed prints in the lounge and I love her workspace there! PS: The Batgirl print is here and the black cat will soon be replaced by two fab prints: Mimi Le Chat and The Cat…we’re just in the process of finalizing the size of each print.

THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK

This morning, Mila & my mum received a gorgeous, gorgeous parcel in France from Nils & Happy to See you . Thank you so much Astrid! Everything looked fab from what I could see on the screen. I can’t wait to go through Astrid’s latest book and take pics of Mila in her yellow skirt but you can see here what type of gorgeous clothes for kids I’m talking about! Mila and I on skype….Me: “So why did you receive baby, show me” Mila: “I got a swimming costume with titi” (i.e. a bikini with a bra….)….well why not…I wouldn’t have called it like this but…. Our NEW Kids section is now live and I’m very proud of it. I hope you’ll find it as inspiring as we do….I love the new Teens zone, I wish I had a bedroom like this when I was a teenager 1. Kavka’s home

Asia and I share a love for the work and style of Jacqueline Morabito but I really love Asia’s own style and find her home a great source of inspiration. I love how she spreads monochrome touches around her home and how her house feels like a home….relaxing, inviting, creative and personal.Looking at her photos below, I have white envy…I spent Sunday afternoon in our top guest bedroom. I wanted to style the room and put together a mini photo studio but I ended up sorting out/ shredding lots of papers and putting lots of our old CDs on MusicMagpie which actually felt quite relaxing. I hadn’t had a ‘slow weekend’ for months. Between travelling, DIY and shooting our first catalogue, things have been incredibly hectic. But on Sunday, with the rain outside, there was something quite comforting in drinking tea from the comfort of my home and doing simple, mundane things.
