Vispring x Missoni collaboration

Vispring x Missoni collaboration

Vispring x Missoni collaborationDuring my last trip to London, I spent one night in the quintessentially English Elephant Hotel in Pangbourne (Berkshire) and one in The Sanderson boutique hotel.
I slept like a baby in both.

Once thing that I always do after a good night sleep, is checking the brand of mattress, hotels use…
A sound’s night sleep makes such a difference to your day, doesn’t it?
It can really turn a day into a productive and positive one and as I’m growing older and wiser, I realise how important it is to value my sleep, just for the sake of my well-being if not for the way I look in the morning.

When the Beckhams invested in a Vispring bed in 2009, the story made the headlines and rightly so. Luxury British bedmaker Vispring is a brand with a great legacy and credentials.

They were pioneer in launching the first pocket spring mattress back in 1901 and to these days, each of their beds is handmade at the firm’s Devon factory, where craftsmen and women spend, on average eight hours creating each bed from hand stuffing, stitching and upholstering (reading about the craftsmanship here was fascinating)

As part of the Harrods Art Partners campaign – which features a series of collaborations between heritage lifestyle brands and contemporary designers, Vispring has teamed up with Italian design brand Missoni Home to create three unique and striking limited-edition beds.

Available in Missoni Home’s iconic fabrics, each bed includes a Missoni print divan and headboard plus a complementary luxury Vispring mattress.Vispring x Missoni collaborationVispring’s Artemis headboard and Prestige divan upholstered in Missoni Home’s Santafe 174 fabric; Vispring’s Chelsea mattress upholstered in Missoni Home’s Gretel 49 fabric; 150 x 200 cm; £10,758 with a mattress covered in a standard Vispring fabric.

Vispring x Missoni collaborationVispring’s Eccleston headboard and Sovereign divan upholstered in Missoni Home’s Tobago T20; Vispring’s Knightsbridge mattress upholstered in Missoni Home’s Gretel 64; 150 x 200 cm; £14,978 with a mattress covered in a standard Vispring fabric

The three designs are currently displayed on the third floor of Harrod’s and showcased as part of an artistic installation in the store’s Brompton Road windows from 10th April until 07th May.

Posted in partnership with Vispring; all views my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that help support BODIE and FOU
