30-day Birkram Yoga challenge | DAY 13

C’est re-parti mon kiki!
Yesterday after work, I went back to Bikram yoga and once I was there, I realised how much I had missed being there, working out, pushing and streching my body.

I had an amazing class, my body felt good and despite a week off nursing a gastroenteritis, I felt great afterwards to the point that I cycled to work this morning and will cycle to yoga tonight and then back home.
I did classical ballet for sixteen years when I was young(er). At some point, when I started doing modern dance too, I was doing 5 hours dance a week and I absolutely loved it!
I never had the body of a ballerina but dance was my passion and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sadly, I gave up when I went to Uni and never went back unlike my best friend Perrine Fifadji who is now an amazing Dancer, Singer and Choregrapher

Bikram yoga feels like the closest activity to classical ballet and how you work with your body so if you’ve loved ballet, I think you’ll really enjoy it but at the end of the day, being it running or swimming or whatever, finding an activity you really really love will make it a lot easier to stick to your plans.
Have a great day!

30-day Bikram Yoga challenge | DAY 23

July 13, 2013

What are you up to this weekend?
Steve is off to for the day so Mila and I are going to have some mother & daughter quality time in our garden to make the most of this glorious weather.
She just had a lot of fun cleaning up the garden with the hose and soaking Lucas (he wasn’t very impressed!) while I took our white ball chairs outside so now everything is ready for us.
This afternoon, I’m taking her to her first Bikram Yoga class for kids and then we will cook some honey & lemon marinated chicken.

If you live in West London, try this pub The Oak W12 where we had our family meal last night (more pics on Instagram). They have a couple of our Clip-On Lights behind the bar, our New-York Black & Copper wall light in the back room  and a couple of our New-York table lamps. I’m in love with the interior design!
Have a great one! Bises

Juice and zest of 1 large lemon (3 tablespoons juice), 3 tablespoons honey, 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic, 1 1/2teaspoons ground cumin, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2cup plus 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, bone-in chicken breast halves, skin on (about 2-1/4 pounds), Salt and freshly ground pepper

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Line a baking sheet with foil. In a medium bowl, whisk together the lemon juice and zest, honey, garlic, cumin, oregano and 1/2 cup of the olive oil. Place the chicken breasts in a glass dish that holds them snugly in a single layer and add the marinade. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator, turning over the chicken occasionally.

Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Pat the chicken dry, season with salt and pepper and place, skin side down, in the skillet. Cook until the skin is browned and crisp, about 5 minutes. Transfer the chicken, skin side up, to the prepared baking sheet. Bake until cooked through and the juices run clear, about 20 minutes.
Bises

March 30, 2013

I’m really pleased to say that our SS/2013 catalogue is almost finished. The files are going to the printer  on Tuesday evening and if you have requested a copy or receive the previous issues in the past, our gorgeous catalogue will land on your doorstep on 19/04/2014.
To be honest, I think this is our best catalogue EVER!
I don’t say this lightly because when it comes to BODIE and FOU, I’m a perfectionist but out of all the catalogues we’ve produced including our first one which received an ECMOD Award, this is my favourite! There isn’t a spread (double-page) I don’t like and I’m hugely proud of what our team has achieved with that baby!

The photos above are from the //NATURALS collection I styled and photographed with  Francois. I don’t know if you remember but after losing my two beloved grand-mothers in a very short time at the end of last year, this year, the only thing I wanted was for life in general to be more gentle and kind to everyone and I really put our collection with that in mind, sourcing beautiful, simple objects that would make our homes more serene and calming so this one is very very close to my heart and I hope you will love it as much as I do.

Last but not least, today is my birthday (can’t really remember how old I am, I stop counting when I turned 35) but can you believe that instead of a new bag, I asked Steve to get me Bikram Yoga classes!!!
I started about 3 weeks ago and I’m totally hooked! I can’t believe how much of a positive impact this has had on my body and mind in such a short time. I sleep better, I look younger, Steve even said to a friend that it had such a positive impact on my moods that sometimes he and Mila had to ask me for an I.D. to make sure it was me :-)
So today, I will go to Bikram yoga and then have a great time with my friends and family. I wish you a fantastic weekend and lots of love.

30-day Bikram Yoga challenge | DAY 24 (+ a mini challenge to get sexy arms)

July 14, 2013

How are you?
I hope you had a great Saturday!
As my 30-day Bikram Yoga challenge is coming to an end and my beach holidays are around the corner (only 4 weeks away), I thought it was time to take on other mini challenges to tackle problem areas.
So this week, I’m starting this Tracy Anderson Sexy Arm – Beginners challenge – which doesn’t require any equipment and is only 10 min if you do it twice.

So who is in it with me??
