A small, beautiful flat re-designed with plywood

September 14, 2015

A small family flat renovated with plywood in Melbourne. Read on www.karinecandicekong.comSince we stayed in a lovely loft apartment renovated with eco-friendly material in Cap-Breton, plywood is fast becoming one of my favourite material. It has the benefit of being affordable while adding warmth and textures to an interior. As we are currently tackling two renovation projects and will re-design a flat in Paris next year, I thought it would be good to show you how to make the most of plywood.

Little creative project: Using plywood as a canvasIt’s not secret that I love plywood.

These 12 inspiring kitchens are proofs that beautiful things could be achieved with this inexpensive material and I really like how Steve’s office turned out in the tree house with plywood walls.

This photo caught my eye because I thought using a piece of plywood was a great and inexpensive little creative project.

What do you think? Do you love plywood or hate it?

How to get the look: a minimalist plywood kitchen

How to get the look: a minimalist plywood kitchenPlywood kitchens are a favourite of mine after white kitchens and the kitchen I’m featuring today, has the added value of having a few styling tips you may want to bookmark for future references.

Most the plywood furniture here, is custom-made.
I really love the discreet kitchen hood and the stand-alone kitchen which somehow, reminds me of Atelier September in Copenhagen. Add a few bistro chairs, a nice table in a light, natural wood to match the colour of the plywood, white walls to bounce back the light and you end up with a very soothing and peaceful space.
