Living the high life….

Sooo…you know….a couple of weeks ago….I was invited to celebrate My Deco‘s 3rd year anniversary at Sir Terence Conran‘s pad…pretty cool huh!? It was quite magical to wander around the home of this iconic design legend, founder of Habitat and then The Conran shop, see his numerous boxes of cigars, a poster signed by all his students, his study…His flat was amazing. I had seen a few photos in some interior magazines before but hanging out there for real was quite an experience. I personally loved how the flow of the upstairs space and his two front and back terraces….oui Madame…two terraces and if he needs anyone to house-sit this Summer anytime, I’m available…And a big thank you to Francois for these great shots. White bookshelf wallpaper by Y & B

We recently launched the ‘ridiculously fab’ Bookshelf wallpaper which is pretty amazing to transform a plain room into something amazing and striking! In the US, Nema workshop also revamped an Espresso cafe in Manhattan. The launch of the Bookshelf wallpaper has been a major success and on the back of it, Y & B have now decided to launch a white version that I love! While the colour printed one gives an Old England feel to a room, the white version has a Maison Martin Margiela vibe that I love very much! Kelly Hoppen’s blog…

I ran 8kms early this am so already today I was feeling pretty much on top of the world but when world-renowned British Designer Kelly Hoppen suggested her followers on Twitter to follow us, it was just the cherry on the top of a very happy Friday cake! I have a couple of books from her at home: In Touch and Style but I really would like Home which explores the entire process of creating a home that meets our needs. Kelly Hoppen has pioneered a simple yet opulent style that is stylish yet real. The kind of living space that makes you feel at home, at peace and thanks God she has now started a blog.I can’t wait to read more and I hope she will share with us more insights about her path, her career and her drive like she did here in this post about success. Enjoy! http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

House Tour: Solenne de La Fourchardiere

I love when this kind of chance encounter over the net happens… It all started with an email from Julia who wrote to tell us that she was going there every day to get her daily fix of La Tropezienne tote bag and that she has been saving since the first time she spotted it in December 2009. I waited for this bag too so I know how it feels/aches to crave for it when you just know that is going to be simply perfect for you!I suggested Julia to go there where she could get 10% OFF which may help towards her saving plan and it did. Then Julia told me that her boss (also French) read our profile and said she could have written it herself… Now the funny thing is that Julia’s boss is Solenne de La Fouchardiere, one of the three talented designers behind Ochre (the other two being Joanna Bibby and Harriet Maxwell Macdonald), a UK Interior Design company which I have long admired. So thanks to Julia, here are …
