So enjoyed styling Nelson Sepuvelda ceramic collection….

This week is a styling/photoshoot week for François and I and here are the first shots of the beautiful Nelson Sepuvelda ceramic collection (by the way, there is only two ASE salad bowls left in stock).I fell in love with this collection years ago but at the time, BODIE and FOU was just a baby and I couldn’t take the financial risk of stocking such a large quantity of ceramics but they are here now and I’m still madly in love with them after all these years.I feel connected to their organic shape and colours and they look wonderful on the vintage rack in my kitchen – which is kind of the starting point of my kitchen masterplan.Talking of connection, one interior book that really resonated with me recently was Rethink: The Way Live by Amanda Talbot – a book review is on my list of things to do!So that’s it, I hope you like the collection and our photos ;-) Please let me know, you know how much I love reading your comments and feedback, bises. PS: I …

Beautiful ceramics by Nelson Sepuvelda

One thing that made me really really happy this week was to finally receiving the collection of ceramics designed by Nelson Sepuvelda for Atelier Belarts Creations.I have been in love with his work since they launched the collection at Maison & Object in Paris in 2008. However at the time, BODIE and FOU was only one-year old, our customer base wasn’t as big as it is now and their minimum order was quite big so we decided it was too risky. Now things have changed and I’m really happy to be able to add this beautiful collection as part of our collection.I’m going to take a couple of Dadasi jugs home tonight to decorate our BBQ party on Saturday and I hope that the weather is going to get better because my plans involved outdoor styling! http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

How to create a home that feels like a holiday home despite the weather

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We had a gorgeous lunch yesterday with Mandy and Rupert, Founders of HUSH that felt very summery and woke up this morning to a weather that feels very automnal… #depressingweatherI wish we could just all embrace a proper Spring, we all need it!One of the reasons I like our home to be white is that it gives me the feeling that we are in a holiday house and to achieve a relaxed feel, I use natural fabrics with texture in the bedroom like these stonewashed linen duvet covers and white crockery and tableware in the kitchen.Which brings me to tell you about our new white ceramic bowls from our NATURALS // collection which are selling like cupcakes. We’ve received so many orders for these that they temporarily went out of stock but I’m pleased to say they will be back in stock at the end of the week along with this crinkled vase and these beautiful wooden chopping boards (yes! we managed to source more of the medium so you can now have a complete …

Nelson Sepulveda & Belart Industries

Atelier Belart Creations is the creative encounter between a Tunisian stoneware manufacturer, Ali Belajouza and a Chilean creative director, Nelson Sepulveda. The beginning of their collaboration started in Paris when Belajouza offered Sepulveda, the opportunity to conceive and create a new stoneware collection as well as the image and ethics of the collection, investigating not only what to produce, but how to produce it…. From this was born bowls, tumblers, plates, salad bowls, water jugs….just in two colours, white and black to seduce the soul. I discovered the ceramics designed by Nelson Sepulveda at Maison & Objet a couple of years ago when Elodie & I were scouring new designs for BODIE and FOU. We had decided to have a quick look at the Chic Ethnic Hall and suddenly we were standing in front of this amazing display of ceramics piled on rough wooden planks and warehouse pallets and I fell instantly in love with their simple, organic curves inspired by nature. The Dadasi collection in black. The Ewa collection in white. Since then, these …
