Holidays snaps from the Bay of Arcachon

We had a lovely time in our holidays home in France near the Bay of Arcachon. We went to the beach… Had some ice-creams and new strippy t-shirts… Stayed on the boat for a week… Climbed trees… Picked up trees… Climbed walls…and then admired the sunset… Had a laugh…and more ice-creams…. Played in tree house….and painted the walls inside in white…. And I even managed to do some DIY here (more of this later), caught up with some friends and made some new ones who stayed in this house http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs

Moodboard inspired by Paris…

In about 30min, I will head off to Gare du Nord to catch the Eurostar and go back to London. I had such a cool time. The weather was fab, I caught up with lots of friends at the weekend and still managed to run 3 times with Elodie early in the morning which makes me very happy but usually, I can’t be bothered doing anything when I’m travelling.  M&O was tiring, it’s a massive show and you spent a lot of time walking but I have found some really gems, some beautiful things for kids that give me butterflies, a gorgeous bag for men and lots of ideas. Until I see you on the other side of the Channel, here is a little mood board inspired by Paris…   1. Paris map print 2. Decorative hearts 3. Industrial clip on light 4. Birds clothes pegs used as paper clips Dans 30min, je vais aller a la Gare du Nord pour prendre mon train direction London. J’ai passé 4 jours géniaux. Il a fait super …

One girl, one farm….

There is nothing better than to be stuck in bed with food poisoning to feel on fire two days later. I’m back to my normal self and I have bags of positive energy (plus my car passed the M.O.T which really made my day!) so I wanted to share with you this gem of an eco farm in the south of France which I saw in the August issue of the French Marie-Claire.Are you gumboots ready? OK let’s go…. Graine et Ficelle is an eco farm near Nice (South of France) set up by Isabelle, an ex-Parisian who left the capitale to follow her dream. As you know by now, I’m a sucker of these ‘dream come true’ stories because I think it’s hugely inspiring to see so many women following their dreams but I also really like the relax, carefree, contemporary look of Isabelle’s farm which is also a B&B and a cooking school for children.Although her farm is now a little gem for families and children who want to learn about nature, getting …

Our favourite Interior Designer: Jacqueline Morabito

Jacqueline Morabito is without a doubt one of the most talented French Interior Designer & Architect and Elodie & I have always been huge fans of her simple, contemporary, minimalist style which she often mixed beautifully with vintage pieces. Below are pictures of a house she designed in the south of France (in the heart of an oak grove) now on the market…in case you were looking for a beautiful French home to live in happy ever after. Morabito’s style hugely influenced us when we designed the BODIE and FOU website and put together the first collection….In fact, she is one of the few persons I would love to http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UxVs
