Vispring x Missoni collaboration

April 20, 2017

Vispring x Missoni collaborationDuring my last trip to London, I spent one night in the quintessentially English Elephant Hotel in Pangbourne (Berkshire) and one in The Sanderson boutique hotel.
I slept like a baby in both.

Once thing that I always do after a good night sleep, is checking the brand of mattress, hotels use…
A sound’s night sleep makes such a difference to your day, doesn’t it?
It can really turn a day into a productive and positive one and as I’m growing older and wiser, I realise how important it is to value my sleep, just for the sake of my well-being if not for the way I look in the morning.

How to style your dining table for Easter

April 1, 2017

How to style your dining table for EasterI’ve never really decorated a table for Easter before but then I saw these eggs in a vase on Pinterest and it inspired me to make my own ‘pastel’ version with left-over paint I had and use my beautiful tableware designed by Sophie Conran for Portmeirion.

It was really easy to do and turned out to be very pretty too so I’m really pleased with the whole look of our Easter table. I also put together a super easy family menu which you will have no problem replicating. READ MORE...

Grey Minimalism in the bedroom

January 25, 2017

How to get the look: 50 shades of Grey Minimalism in our bedroomI just came back from shooting my Artist friend Perrine Fifadji (check the African Queen visual story) while she was performing at La Mediathèque of Mérignac. It was a great experience as she has an amazing voice…

The pictures will be used for her press kit which is very exciting but after going through 300 pictures, all I want now is my bed…

We have a new cute addition on our bedside table which I’m looking forward to using outside this Summer.

I also don’t think I had shared with you our new floor…

We got rid of the sisal carpet which was nice but after 10 years, I fancied a change and painted the floor with hardwearing parking paint…well so we were told. I think it’s not hardwearing as I would love it to be but it’s definitively easier to clean and it looks more modern and was not as expensive as the resin floor we did in our home in London.

As you may know, Steve and I are off to a biking road trip to Portugal in February so the house is available for rent from 18th February to 03rd March 2017. If you are interested, drop me a line.

Disclosure: Photography & styling by me, the light was supplied by Fatboy.

Domotex 2017: The things I love the most

January 23, 2017

Domotex 2017: The things I love the mostLast week I flew to Hannover as I was invited to attend Domotex.
When it comes to interior design trade shows I usually attend Maison & Objet in Paris and a few in London and I have to admit, both Domotex and Hannover were not on my list of places to visit but I’m so glad I went because it was a visual feast and I met a lot of interesting people including Award-winning Designer Alfredo Häberli (see his site).

If you don’t know anything about Domotex, it is The world’s largest flooring trade show and if you are a Retailer, Designer, Architect, Interior Designer, Manufacturer or Journalist, this is the place to be to discover the latest trends and technologies in flooring from rugs, tiles, carpet and wooden floors.

The rugs area was by far, my most favourite hall and the one that caused my heart to skip a beat more than once, especially the designs of Berlin-based creative company: Rug Star which I’m sharing with you today.
