TODAY I LOVE…

I’m so sorry! I got completely sidetracked this morning. I was meant to do my weekly 5 Things I want right now! but I started watching a very interesting documentary by Cash Investigation that was broadcasted on France 2 recently. The subject of the documentary had been all over my friends’ Facebook page in France and I was really keen to watch it because healthy food and well-being is something I’m really interested in. It was questioning why ham is so pink in supermarket when in fact cooked ham should be more white/greyish like a slice of cooked pork. Why manufacturers feel the need to add nitrate salt (E250) to make the ham look pinkier when nitrate salt has been linked to being the cause of cancer? How lobby put pressure on government? And so many other questions that were scary but interesting at the same time. I don’t know if copyright issues will let you watch it outside of France but here is the youtube link in case. And then this afternoon, I surfed under the rain and it …

Natural styling by Paulina Arcklin

Today I love…

Hello everyone! How are you today? I have a question for you….As it has been no-man’s land (i.e. hardly anyone commenting) since this post (hint hint), it’s difficult to know if my latest blog posts have been of interest to you :-) I mentioned this before but while analytics are a good tool, ultimately the thing I care the most about is connecting with you guys and knowing which blog posts/content/topic is of interest to you so I can keep writing things you are interested in reading about. Maybe you missed out on this article which admittedly was long but very interesting or yesterday’s interview, which is a fascinating read. Kate and Nicole kindly explained to me why they were commenting on Instagram rather than here on the blog after reading the post but if you could once in a while leave some feedback, that would be fab! Back to today’s post… I really love this natural styling which reminds me of our trip in Portugal. It’s very soothing don’t you think?  Little by little, I’m changing the decoration in our holidays home …

Today I love | this creative natural styling

I’m so loving this beautiful, natural styling by Photographer & Stylist Line Kay who I have mentioned before here. The mix of textures and soothing off white and cream hues with a few touch of vintage makes this the perfect spot to hang out on a gloomy day. Line’s recent natural styling for Hale Mercantile Co. is also pure eye-candy. Go here to read about 5 ways to use this gorgeous naturel basket. GET THE LOOK:

TODAY I LOVE…

This wonderful shot snapped by Sofia. It just feels like a happy room… I don’t know if it was the natural light flooding the room or the quintessential collection of art displayed on the walls or maybe this inviting table setting but I was in love as soon as I saw it and I felt it lifted up my heart. TODAY I LOVE…

Today I love the styling of my friend Pella for Ikea who beautifully combined grey hues and wood.. It’s gorgeous, autumnal, cosy and so inviting. Pella’s styling makes me crave for a trip to Ikea to see the new collection designed by Ilse Crawford and a day hanging out in my fav PJs and soft, stonewashed linens. I’m in Paris (read my last post) with Mila this weekend. Steve is currently in London (hopefully he will join us tonight), then he and Mila will head back to our home in France and I will stay two more days to attend Maison & Objet. You can follow me on Instagram if you want. // Styling: Pella Hedby, Photography by Ragnar Omarsson GET THE LOOK:

TODAY I LOVE…

This is one of my all-time favourites styling by Cleo Scheulderman who regularly styles for Dutch magazine VT Wonen. I love the display of rustic chopping boards (these are 25% OFF in the sale), the raw concrete floor and vintage furniture against a deep, indigo background and of course this beautiful papier maché lampshade by French designer Myriam Balay. While white is definitively my colour of predilection at home, comes Summer and I crave for blue grey linen, blue shutters like the ones in our home in France (more details here) and indigo cushions and accessories. Talking of which, we will soon add a gorgeous collection of handmade, indigo throws to the shop. And if anyone knows a UK ceramist that makes gorgeous cups like these, please let me know as I need a few for a styling job next week in the UK. What do you think? Which feature (s) do you love the most? // Styling: Cleo Scheulderman, Photography by Jeroen Van Der Spek SHOP THE POST
