Vipp kitchen in a Manhattan creative agency

The Vipp kitchen in a Manhattan creative agency

One brand dear to my heart is Danish design company Vipp. From their kitchen accessories, to their Award-Winning kitchen and the Vipp shelter which I would really love to visit once, everything is beautifully designed. In 2014, while I was still running the BODIE and FOU online concept store (now sold), we had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Vipp to design an exclusive limited edition BODIE and FOU x Vipp bin which some of you may remember or even own. A similar collab’ had been done previously with Parisian concept store MERCI so for us, it was a big deal. The BODIE and FOU x Vipp bin was exclusively sold in their store in Copenhagen and in our shop and was even purchased by her H.R.H. Princess Marie of Denmark. I was there when her H.R.H purchased it and I asked her if we could do a photo for promotional purposes but she kindly declined ;-) #protocol It was an interesting & inspiring collaboration during which, we also launched our collection of BODIE and FOU prints (I …

black kitchen with Philippe Starck Masters chairs

Black dining chairs…

For our dining room, I’m looking at two chairs for now….The Knot chair (tried, tested & loved) which has been one of my top favourite chairs for a long time. I took the black one home recently to see how it would look in our new lounge and it looks fab. Second option is the Masters chair designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell. Starck designed the Masters chair to pay tribute to three iconic chairs: the “Series 7” by Arne Jacobsen, the “Tulip Armchair” by Eero Saarinen and the “Eiffel Chair” by Charles Eames. It’s very comfy and has a special finish on the chair, which makes it feel sensual and velvety to the touch but mostly I love the look of it. What do you think? SHOP THE LOOK Photography: 1. My home in Scotland on Sunday

I almost feel ashamed posting this. We had had so much great press coverage lately, it’s absolutely insane and you are probably getting fed up seeing my face and my home all the time :-) I have finally received the pdf of the article featured in Scotland on Sunday mentioned here a few weeks ago and I love the photos taken by Debra Hurford Brown and I would especially like to thank Tessa Williams who contacted me for this article and who has been a real star! Tessa is currently putting her wonderful book about perfumes (read her blog here) and I’m very looking forward to seeing it!
